About
Holly LaRoche is a Canadian born, New York trained, Vancouver based dancer, actor, choreographer, and writer. She links her classical concert dance roots to her current onscreen work for Netflix, Paramount+, The CW, Comedy Central, and others. Holly also performs live, interactive cabaret with Vancouver's The Smoke Show, and trains in stunts.
Holly received her BFA in dance summa cum laude from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. While there, she mastered various styles of contemporary and improv techniques, and counts floor work, athleticism, and acrobatics among her specialties (also drawn from her base as a Rhythmic Gymnastics National Champion). She toured the United States with the Joffrey Concert Group, performing classical works by the likes of Balanchine and Ailey. Holly has also performed works by Crystal Pite in Lincoln Center’s White Light Festival, by Desmond Richardson of Complexions Contemporary Ballet at the Park Avenue Armory, and by Karole Armitage for the Marc Jacobs Fall 2020 New York Fashion Week show, also at the Park Avenue Armory.
Her current interests are in melding her rhythmic gymnastics background and stunt training with a broad range of dance styles, whether on stage or on screen. Holly is also a writer for industry magazine Dance Informa, and uses her platform to highlight the artists she meets and works with.
